Women Leaders: The Legal and Social Rise of Women in India

Women are known to be symbol of spirituality, strength, love, sacrifice and courage. In today's progressive world the gender inequality still exists, if you are a girl or Women whether younger or older always unable to get respect from everyone. There are always gets to hear that a little girl depends on father, when she gets marry, she defends on her husband and when she becomes old, she defends on her son. Why girls or women are defends only on men.

Some peoples always criticised women if she is on position of power. Many peoples have problem in women leading ship.We can also see that the women are leading the world in many different ways and the future looks bright for them. The rising of women leadership even in some most male-dominated Countries.

Women are achieving Vertical Mobility. Current situation women are themselves stand on their achievements without a need of men. Women's are capable of doing any work without help of men's also women's are better problem solvers than men.

In Hinduism, the term Shakti which means Goddess or Women. A God given power to women than men. According to Shastras each girl is a form of goddess she has divine feminine power. The divine feminine, creative energy, and the power to create (to giving birth), and destroy the universe. There are increased in number of girls student for education as comparison to Boys. There are maximum number of girls in the educational institutions being employed in more prominent position, their leadership roles in family organization have increase. As a woman she will not improve others unless she is not developing herself.

  • Nowadays, in many families and businesses, gender is no longer a major issue.
  • Women and men have different attributes and characteristics.
  • Men have been ruling the business world for ages; now that women have stepped into the arena, they seem to be doing even better.
  • Many top companies are thriving because of women's leadership.
  • Women are excelling in business due to their leadership skills.
     

NASA (National Aeronautics & Space Administration)

  • Women have played important roles such as mathematicians, astronauts, engineers, and supervisors.
     

ISRO (Indian Space Research Organization)

  • Women have been involved in many successful missions.
  • In the Chandrayaan-3 mission, more than 100 women played a direct role.
  • In the Aditya-L1 mission, a woman serves as the Mission Director.
  • The Director of India's first solar observatory is a woman from the Indian Institute of Astrophysics.
     

Some Women Leaders in Indian History

  • The Queen of Jhansi (Rani Laxmibai): A great queen and mother, she was a symbol of reform and courage. She made history in the 1857 battle for freedom.
  • Razia Sultan: The first and only woman to rule the Delhi Sultanate, from 1236 to 1240.
  • Maharani Tarabai Bhosale: Daughter of Hambirrao Mohite, commander-in-chief under Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj. She was a great Maratha warrior queen who defeated Aurangzeb.
  • Ahilyabai Holkar: The Rajmata and later the ruling queen of Indore within the Maratha Confederacy. She established Maheshwar in Madhya Pradesh as the seat of the Holkar dynasty.
