The constitution of various nations around the globe talk about Equality being the roots of the society in present times, well it would be totally wrong to completely deny it because we have come a long way to achieve the same. Abolishing the slavery system being one of the biggest steps towards eradication of the vicious concepts of superiority and inferiority on a worldwide scale.

It talked about equal representation which just lead to formation of base of what being equal and what individual identity meant. However, be it developed or developing nations we could still see division of people on basis of their local identity like regional belonging, caste etc and they turn out to be one of the foremost questions when we get to know someone. It is right to suggest that this sort of positive division is necessary to stay connected to your cultural background but only when it is practiced till some extent.

Opposition of the reservation system, some might justify it as an attempt to ensure equality for people but here we look for equity for uniform development in such fields and not equality and equity would never be justifiable to opposition of the reservation system.

Talking about equity and equality, where is the vision of the economic trickle down effect which ensure uniform economic distribution. The wealth with the wealthy stay concentrated with them and never trickles down to the ones in dire need of it given that the middle class expands on a great rate and the poverty class expands even on a grater than that.

Gender inequality, being another branch. Protection of women and children still seems a big goal to achieve because sometimes our morals are not enough to ensure that women feel safe in their own houses. Laws can't change mindset of people considering the population is a mix of all sorts of mentalities, total conservatives to extreme liberal households.

Common suggested solutions to these issues could be education facilities, better job opportunities and all but they come along with evils like corruption etc.

For now, EQUALITY majorly stays as a concept of paper and we as a society still require to come a long way to ensure EQUALITY turns into an essence of society at ground levels. Good luck to us for that journey, for we shall contribute our very best to someday surely see it.
